Mohican - Smith's Campground & Cabins - Amish area

Seasonal Information 2010

 
The Smith family has owned and operated our campground since 1992.  We are located on the Wally Road Scenic Byway and the Mohican State Scenic River. We are located in Western Holmes County. Nearby is Holmes County's Amish Country, Mohican State Park - 5 miles away, Malabar Farm State Park 15 miles away, Pleasant Hill Lake and many more attractions!

Look for the brightly colored buildings 4 miles down Wally Road off of St Rt 3 south of Loudonville.  Activities available at Smith's include -- outdoor movies under the stars, childrens play ground - with white sand, Pavilion, horseshoe pits, corn hole, a white sand volleyball court and our 25' x125' long swimming pool, starts at zero and goes up to four feet.  The pool is open Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend!  Fishing in the river is available (state license required).

Campsites are on river or off river with true 50*30*20 amp electric service and our 40' wide. We are truly BIG RIG Friendly.  Honey wagon or dump station service is available instead of sewer.  We do not have sewers sites due to the fact we are on the river and in a flood plain. 

Cabins are full service with all the comforts of home. Plan a trip with your non camping friends as they can stay in one of our many style cabins that we have to offer.

We offer canoeing with 2 local liveries offering you trips that take you up river and you land back at the campground, so no waiting at the end of your trip and no driving for you, just walk back to your campsite.

We have a propane refill station so you will not have to drive to get your tanks filled.  Other services available at Smith's is Notary Services and Marriage Ceremonies.

Looking for a unique wedding?  Just think what a wedding by the river would be like!  Kim & Amy are licensed by the state of Ohio to perform marriage ceremonies.

We are close by for all the big events in the area - Mohican Indian Pow Wow, Prairie Peddler, Mohican Bluegrass Festival, Dan Emmett Festival
