Campground Etiquette

At Smith’s Campground & Cabins we strive for you to have the most relaxing and enjoyable time possible! We are glad that you chose to stay at our campground and cabins! We will accommodate you as best we can! We will also enforce the following rules for the safety and enjoyment of all our campers!

  • You are entering an area that may have natural hazards. Sometimes in nature there are things that we cannot prepare for or control. We always want everyone to be aware of their surroundings. If at any time there is a concern, please inform the office immediately!

  • Respect your fellow campers, their campsite their property.

  • Children are their parent’s responsibility. Do not leave your children unattended anywhere on the property at any time.

  • Playground closes at dusk and an adult must always accompany all children in park.

  • Fireworks are prohibited. Chinese lanterns, sparklers or any are grounds for eviction.

  • Firearms are prohibited.

  • Do not trespass on private property across the river or fenced in property. These are our neighbors.

  • Alcohol beverages must be kept in moderation. Underage consumption is AGAINST THE LAW and will be handled accordingly. The same rules apply to tobacco products.

  • Pets must always be kept on a leash. Keep barking in check. Do not leave unattended. Pets must always be cleaned up

  • Conserve water & electricity.

  • Speed limit is 5 mph throughout park.

  • Do not use the electric pedestals to tie off tents or clotheslines.

  • Do not deface, cut or destroy trees or foliage.

  • ADA aware (American Disabilities Act).

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • No rainchecks or refunds will be issued.

  • Minimum of 15’ between campers.

  • Campfires must be within a “Fire Ring” attended to at all times and contained within one ring.

  • Anyone who creates a nuisance will be asked to leave the grounds without a refund.

  • Observe all safety videos and precautions when canoeing or near the water.

  • Squirt guns, hoses and harassing canoers! If anyone in your group harasses people in the river you will be asked to leave the campground with NO REFUND and NO return. Please consider this your warning! No exceptions! If you take squirt guns when you go canoeing just know that when you land onto Smith property put them away. This includes your children!

  • PETS - are allowed on camp sites and are no charge. Pets are $25 per pet in the Cabins (maximum of 2) They must be kept on a short leash and kept quiet. Pets are not allowed to be left alone anytime during the night or day.

  • CANOEING - We work with Mohican Adventures . They come in pick you up and then you land back here at the campground.  No driving is necessary on Wally Road. Check at the Landing for times and pricing.

  • QUIET TIME - is from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. There will be no check-ins during this time. Sounds carry farther at night. Please be considerate of others. Loud noise/music, etc. must be confined within your campsite always. If your music can be heard on the next campsite it is to loud. Loud or abusive language will not be tolerated. Eviction will result without any refunds.

  • Failure to abide by these rules will result in eviction without a refund.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entrance to any of our properties and or facilities for the good of the business and or safety of the people.
