2020 was a year of change! At this point we have not been directed that any of the rules that were imposed on campgrounds last year are changing. With that said we have decided that even if the rules change, we will continue to implement for the good of the campground, the rules that we put into place last year.
The 3 rule changes that were the most significant in 2020 we want to address again.
1. Back in – All RV’s must be backed into their site. One RV only, no tents on a site with an RV. Only 1 tent per site. The only sites that we allow “buddy” camping, where you can face each other are our pull thru sites 128-134. Only 2 vehicles per campsite allowed. Maximum of 8 people per site (including children) Motorhomes can pull in on any site and there must be a minimum of 20’ between units.
2. Waiver – ALL waivers must be filled out ONLINE and received at the office a week prior to your arrival. Your waiver MUST include all the adults and children’s names and the vehicle information. You can always go to our website and click on WAIVER and fill it out anytime PRIOR to your arrival.
3. Visitors- NO Daily Visitors are permitted in our campground. All visitors MUST be listed on the waiver prior to arrival. If you are staying 3 nights – your visitors will be paying for 3 nights to be listed on your waiver to be admitted into the campground.
Reservations have been coming in fast and furious since January 1. All reservations must be made online from our website. This way you can look at our map and pick where you want to be. During the “season” you can also make reservations In Person at our office. We no longer will take a reservation over the phone.
Visitors were the biggest change that we had in 2020. We also found out last year that we had the least number of problems with "no day visitors".
We understand your “friends” want to come down to just go canoeing for the day or “visit” for the day.
As last year, they will have to meet you at the canoe livery (you can pay for them at our place so they can get into line with you at livery) and then they MUST float on down to Frey’s Landings.
Sorry, stopping off at our camp and “visiting” for a while is not an option anymore. Hence the wrist bands last year.
29 years of operating the campground, we have found that the people who do not have a vested interested (paid camper) does not have the same respect for our property and our fellow campers as someone who is vested in camping overnight at our home.
NEW for 2021 – what use to be our group primitive area on the river at the lower end of the campground is NOW available for your day use. For all of you who are camping off river carry your chairs to the lower end of the campground to enjoy sitting along the river. You are still welcome to hang out by The Landing, but you NOW can sit in the shaded down river area at the end of the campground!
Remember Pizza, Wings, Ice Cream, Milk Shakes are available 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the River side windows of The Landing. We still deliver Pizza and wings to your campsite.
Last year, in 2020, with all the changes and turmoil that the world was in, we had the quietest night times ever in 29 years of business. We had the best campers who respected their camping neighbor and the campground.
We look forward to a wonderful 2021 season. See you soon!
